Seafood paté

This is an easy recipe and a surprisingly good one. I would have thought that mixing all these ingredients would result in a paté that is overpowering. Well, I was wrong. While the flavour is strong, it is great!

Ingredients: (Serves 4)

1 tin of sardines or anchovies in oil and low in salt (About 60 grams)
60 g steamed mussels (You can also use tinned mussels)
60 g chopped crab (You can use canned too)
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/4 of one small onion
2 tablespoons dry sherry
Salt and pepper

1. Remove any bones from the anchovies or sardines. Remove the tiny fins too. Carefully rinse them with cold water to remove any excess salt. Leave them to strain in a colander.
2. In a food processor, add the mussels, anchovies (sardines), crab and onion. Mix well until you have a thick mixture.
3. Add the sherry and mayonnaise and mix again.
4. Add salt and pepper. Check for taste. You may want to add a bit more sherry. It adds a nice touch!
