Homemade Irish Cream…Yep, you read that right.

I am well aware of the date (8th of January, Elvis Presley would have been 80 today) but it is never too early to share something wonderful. Besides, I like pinning or gathering my goodies early…and in this case early enough to prepare for St. Patrick’s Day. But heck, something this good can be enjoyed any time!
I found this recipe on Pinterest and when I made it for the first time last year, my husband, who is not keen on whiskey whatsoever (unlike his super clever wife haha) but IS keen on sweet things, nearly went bananas!

Now he requests it.
I changed the recipe in one way. I did not use Jameson’s Irish whiskey. This is for two, in my opinion, logical reasons. One being that it is rather expensive and the other being that something so lovely should NOT be mixed. Many of you may disagree and I respect that. I just think a good quality whiskey deserves nothing more or less than a bit of ice and a nice sofa. So instead of using Jameson’s, I used a cheaper whiskey. You can decide for yourselves what to do but there is no need to buy Bailey’s ever again!
